The mega million lottery is now up to about 247 million dollars. It's a multi state thing. I usually don't buy tickets for lotteries except for when I see the billboard signs proclaim that the prize is now over 100 million dollars. For some reason I wouldn't mind winning a hundred million dollars, so I plunk down a few dollars and buy a few tickets. I don't have any special numbers so I always let the computer pick the numbers.  Random generallly works best.  Sometimes though I go to the friendly chinese reataurant and at the end of the meal when I get my bill with the chinese cookies on the tray, I always know that along with my fortune will come my lucky numbers too. I have to admit, there are times that I think, maybe I should play these numbers on tonight's mega lottery. I never do. But if you're a person who believes in lucky numbers, here's some for you:  3,8,12, 17, 19, 20. And if you need one more, try 47. Imagine how stupid I would feel if those numbers came in for the mega lottery and I was sitting home with 3 random pick tickets with not even one of those numbers in my collection. I don't much care for math, but I'm always amazed at possibilities. But it's the what ifs that give me some fun. Tonight I asked the bride what the hell she woud do if we won 247 million dollars. Of course you don't win that much because the government immediately whittles away more than half of that amount. Regardless, if you win, it's still a decent chunk of change. What would you do if I won the mega lottery I said to my wife. See how I shifted from the we to I. What would you do if I gave you 50 million dollars. Who would you give some money to? And you know what, as much as I love my bride and I believe in the philosophy of ...what's mine is yours...I however still believe that everybody has their own personal relationship with money, and if you care to keep the relationship alive, you better respect that basic premise. That may be the reason I don't like to play monopoly with family and friends, I know from the start, it's a game and it's play money, and for the most part, I don't much care about money, but what I do care for, is competition, and often times, that has nothing to do with money.

Here's a bit of an unhiged video about winning the lottery. Warning to the sensitive: The ending is a bit morbid, but not overly graphic.
